 Some Sites I like I'm reading |
Podcasts This is short as I'm rushing to finish my chores for today so I can get to work recording. I'm still not sure if this wil work with the mic I have or not, but we'll see. I still have to write something for work and figure out my day tomorrow. I'm dreading it. I'm probably going to be cold calling on businesses with nobody in them, but I must or I won't be doing anything at all. I've already used up my big projects last week. Arrrghhh... Anyway, I found a site that does RSS podcast feeds for a decent subscription amount. As everything costs something these days, that doesn't surprise me. I'm going to do it month to month for a little while, however, to see if I like it as an annual one is $215.00. If I get enough people listening maybe I can get some sponsors and offset that, but I'm just starting. Going with podcasts isn't ideal for me as I did want to have the option for listeners to call in on a topic. Because these are MP3 files for download, I have to do the entire show myself, which isn't the end of the world, but I'd like more interaction. The good part about that is, however, there will just be another website for you folks to go and download the episodes like tracks. If you miss one or a few you can just download them later. If one is super boring, you can skip to another. That's kind of cool. It also helps for those who want to analyze my semi free form thought, although I wouldn't recommend it. I am planning out topics for shows right now, but beyond a basic outline I'm flying solo. So, if I let some contradictory ideas out, I'm sorry. Its hard to find that sort of stuff in yourself. Anyway, I'm excited about this project. I've wanted to do something similar for years, but there's never been easily accessible. Now that it is getting that way, maybe we can add some new voices to mainstream dialogue? Hey, you never know. So, once I've got the first broadcast up and ready to run, I'll post all the info needed here. I would also like to add my condolances regarding the loss of Michelle's Cubical Hell blog. I'll miss hearing from her, though I still plan to visit someday when things calm down. As for A2P, I don't know what happened with that. Empty promises, perhaps? Daphne |
