Sales Update...My World is So Blah these days... I keep telling myself I'll do the other book review when I get home, but after walking the dog, I usually just want to collapse on the couch. So, sorry I haven't been updating. Life has been so boring lately even my paper journal is dying for some controversy (other than the shit I stir up in SLS's forums). So, maybe I should find something new to report. Problem is, all I got is this boring work shit. I am slightly proud of my sales record over the last two days though. I was able to sell all my calls yesterday, though most were returning one my earlier calls to them. It was nice to clear out all the paperwork though. I also got a cheap thrill out of selling someone about $90 of treatments on top of what they were thinking of ordering. That's always nice. :D I also managed to shine my own apple by telling my boss. I'm looking forward to seeing how the numbers come out towards the end of my term. Hopefully, I'll have a high enough sales percentage to ask him to stay on. I've already got half the presentation thought out. In worse news, my brakes are really going. I just emailed the parts company to ask if they can ship them to the office. I realized that they probably won't let Rico sign for them, even if I left a note saying he could. So, its probably better if they just get shipped here. I asked my boss and he said it shouldn't be an issue. I hope they come soon (I don't want to have to buy rotors too) so I can put the car in sometime next week. I should be able to take off work early one day as I work weekends, and they probably don't want to pay me more overtime than necessary. Speaking of which, I hope my shoot with Nero works out this weekend. I realized that I can't do it early Saturday, but maybe he can be flexible on the time issue. If so, I should be able to pick up a little pocket money. That would be nice. Oh, in case anyone tries to keep in touch with me, I had to cancel the comcast address because they're trying to charge me like eighty dollars a month for internet service. I called them up because I got a hundred dollar bill, and he did offer to take the internet down to fifty bucks a month, but I just can't afford that right now. I am happy, however, that I was able to get the router working at Dan's. I had to call tech support at Comcast, and the nice Asian guy was VERY helpful (should always man tech support lines with Asians, gives the customer the impression that they actually know something even when they're telling you what you already knew). So, with some finagling, we can now use both machines without fighting over the internet, though the pipeline does tend to clog easily. Not much else I can think of to mention. Besides, my coworkers keep doing their morning chit chat, which is fine, just hard not to lose my focus. *ugh* Mother's Day gift discussions...don't remind me. Its been almost a year since mom stopped talking to me. Daphne |
