Xmas Update Dan's still sleeping, so I'm going to update, though there isn't a lot to update right now. For business: I will be open next week, but you've got to call me for times. Tuesday looks to be my day at home, which I may advertise for, but other than that it's on an ad hoc basis. So, if you couldn't visit this week, next is still an option. In fact, I should go check the board after this. My car, lol, should be back up next week. Dan has permission to work on it at his job. He's going to figure out what he needs to know about the inner bearings, which we're hoping don't exist, and the Jag is going to have a nice new brake job. The front brakes need it, and he claims the back ones are fine. Monday means Murray's to figure all this out. He also might keep the car a little longer because he confessed what his ideal xmas present to me was going to be, but couldn't be due to time and my car falling apart. Last week he asked me to borrow said vehicle and I couldn't imagine what he needed it for. I thought he was going to surprise me with new tires (VERY romantic), or possibly use it to shop for a new luxury car, which I was hoping wasn't the case. I need a new luxury car like a hole in the head. Anyway, it seems he was thinking of putting a new stereo system in it! Nothing huge, all speakers that could fit in the stock spots, and a new radio/CD player deck so I could get something other than WNIC and hear the tunes I wanna hear! Didn't even cross my mind as I now listen to the books on tape, but a very thoughtful and fun present indeed. We've decided that he might do it later in the year when he can afford to have the local custom audio folks put one in. I hope it's soon! Santa didn't visit the trailor this year, but I did get Dan something: a Remington electric self cleaning shaver, the Titanium. You've probably seen it on TV too, and he wanted one so that worked out well. I got him gloves with lights on the index fingers for his birthday (the 17th), which he really seems to like, so I hope he likes this too. Then it's off to the malls tomorrow to collect on all those 75% off gift baskets, sweaters, etc. Hooray for a bad economic season!!! Merry xmas or whatever else you celebrate to those of you who want to hear it. I'm off to play Dragon Rage til Dan wakes up and screams for coffee. :P Daphne |
