Enjoyment Apologies for not updating. My internet went down over the weekend, supposedly due to the lines, and I just had it repaired within the hour. Mostly, he just took off the unnecessary splitter and replaced the cable running from the wall into the modem. That seemed to fix it. So, at least, it wasn't a problem with the laptop or anything difficult. It was also kind of cool because he showed up a half hour early. Anyway, the weekend was a bust. The Schvitz is closed for a few weeks to change their rocks and do some maintenance. So, we've been hunting online and getting mixed results. As always, I haven't been interested in the chase, which is probably why things are taking so long to develop. Damn society equiette. I did have a fun day yesterday though. Went to a normalish shoot for Rudy, the guy who will soon let me sell copies of my own porn that actually sounds funny enough to watch. He's still about the same, but one of my castmates ended up turning my head a little too much. I mostly just enjoyed being able to hang out and talk shit with the guys though. They took a liking to me and decided that I should probably do most of the upcoming female roles as the prima donnas they've been working with aren't as much fun. I guess I still win for being more relaxed and interesting on a shoot than most women. We did get some work done for their cable access comedy show. I will get some links to crosslink when I can. Rudy gave me a few copies of the early episodes and they agreed to keep me in the series. We also talked about doing some of the local Comicons as they arise during the year. As they actually sell a decent volume, at least for student filmakers via the internet, I still think working with them is a good investment in doing something more acting based/publicity than the general porn thing. It was a fun night though I got home late. I was a little scared about driving all that freeway at night, but I made it safe and sound. The whole experience set my mind whirling and, although they are about an hour away, I made some pretty good friends I think. They found it funny that I wanted to visit their dinky little town, but getting out anywhere is a nice change. I need to do that more often. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my indepedence/identity with undertaking so many relationships/projects, so it's really nice to kick back and enjoy life for a change. Daphne |
