First Residential SALE!!! All $6 is MINE!! Well I was all happy and mellow from my semi successful work buzz, but then I realized the awful truth. I was overestimating again. Instead of selling my first residential and making a whole $11 commission, I actually only make 5% of the total sale because its a one time treatment, so now I'm the proud owner of $6. Yeah. I shouldn't have wasted a whole hour on that, besides I still got to jump through the scheduling hoops to get it done next week or he'll cancel, but I felt like I was doing something well so the time got away from me. He's also semi warmed up to an annual contract, though he was hesitant about committing himself. That's fine. I think the yellowjacket job will impress him, at least I hope so. I also hope my boss likes the two proposals I gave. I'm a little new at pulling numbers out of bum, so I might be underpricing things, which is a big worry for me. I do know the minumims we have to collect to even bother, so I am pricing above that, but I also don't want to undersell ourselves, if possible. In both cases I got the figure for what they are currently paying, so I am trying to play lower common denominator. I don't think I'm completely shooting myself in the foot, but we'll see on Monday. Tomorrow should be fun. I have my last tech ride and all this hullaballoo to get entered and squared away. I just hope it works out. I'd hate to lose my first customer, especially as he might go contract. We shall see. I like selling though. Its still kind of fun, though I'll admit it is difficult not to run too many personal errands on company time. Need food. I hope Dan comes home sometime tonight.
