Interview Day All right, with a little research things may just start coming together. I got a job interview today for a call center in Novi. Not too far of a drive, the pay is okay, and the work doesn't sound that difficult. Just phoning people and inputting data into a computer. I can do that. I just hope I pass whatever screens they have up so I can start working soon. It's seasonal work, only through July or August, but that might be a good thing if I'm accepted to grad school. I looked up San Fran State's Human Sexuality program, and it seems pretty good. They don't require GRE scores and their admission guidelines are pretty basic. I tried to download an application but the link is broken so I had to email them. Hopefully, they'll get back to me in a few days. I think my thesis work will get me admitted (that and good grades) though I might have to take some remedial sexual studies courses, which I won't mind. If they've closed admissions for the fall, I'm okay with staying in Michigan another year as I'll probably end up paying off my loans within another year. That and I won't have to explain that I need a month to month lease on the next apartment. The only downside, is that the place I've found to watch Willow during the day is in Fowlerville. So, I'll be making a big loop every morning to drop her off. I like the woman that runs it though, and she's very smart and very thorough. I've got to get Willow updated on her shots though, which I'm not sure I can do within a few weeks. I've been trying to call the breeder all last night to ask what she gave her, but I keep getting that checked for trouble message whenever I call. Annoying. Worst case scenario, I never get ahold of her and have to redo them all myself. Rico (neighbor) said he'd watch her during the day, if needed, until I can get all that done. Will probably take a month if I'm starting from scratch, but it would be worth it. Assuming I can keep a job for that long too, I'll look into leasing another apartment and slowly moving my stuff over. I'd rather lose money over this one than risk an eviction. Another slight annoyance is that my door handle came yesterday but I'm still waiting on the wheels for my car. They should be here sometime soon, but I'm getting impatient. I hope they come when I'm home though, as I really want to get them on the car while I still have some ready cash. I've got a few appointments for the week to finance that and the vet bills, so let's hope it all works out. Wish me luck! Daphne |
