Entry 420, Home from NYC In honor of this 420th entry, I got summarially baked and ate a hella amount of food from my own fridge. It was good though. I never knew how much I missed food since I became a tightwad in New York. That and we were too busy to eat most of the time. The trip was good. I didn't take the camera because I was worried about damage so there's no pics. The first plane trip was okay, I only had minor panic attacks on departure and arrival. I think it was a little scarier because we left at night. Detroit was pretty to fly over though and NYC was AWESOME from the air. You could see the skyline and the Statue of Liberty and all these well lit fountains. Oh, it was gorgoeus. We also sat next to a hot smart girl returning home to break up with her boyfriend because she caught him cheating. They had four years together while she finished med school, but she said she couldn't put up with infiedelity. We tried to make her feel better and pick her up, too bad she's straight, and we ended up giving her our contact info and telling her it would be okay and that she really didn't waste her time with him. After leaving her, we were met by my black co-star and things turned out a little fishy. He was kind and all that, helping us into the hotel and such, but when we started shooting Saturday I learned that I hadn't been brought for a leg fetish movie, I had been brought for an Ebony on Ivory production. It went well overall, but I dislike being misled so I was glad I brought Dan to watch my back. After we got into the hotel, we wandered Queens for a bit and ended up eating at the Buccaneer, which I highly recommend. It sounds cheesy, but it's actually a good seafood place. Not cheesy inside at all, a little ritzy diner really. We both had the lobster bisque and paid for our cheapest meal at $5. We tried wandering some more, but then ended up back at the hotel where we watched some video game documentary and a Bruce Willis movie before going to sleep at 2am. Well, 4am if you were Dan and got really into the movie. We spent the halfday we were given for touristy shit on Saturday visiting the Musuem of Sex and Ground Zero. I learned that the sitcoms are true and no NY cabdriver speaks good English. A few speak decent almost understandable English, but most speak East Indian very quickly and often drive with handsfree cellphones on their ears, making them look like they've suddenly gone insane when they start jabbering to themselves in a foreign language. Anyway, we took the cab to Times Square and wandered from there to the financial district, stopping off to the Museum of Sex on the way. The MoS was pretty cool, but didn't teach me much more than I already knew. It was pretty small with one half being artsy stuff and the other half an exhibit on Chinese sexuality from ancient times onward featuring footbinding! The one cool thing in the whole place, however, was the piece of furniture that was the size of a double bed but had bumps you could sit or lie on to achieve various sexual positions with support. That came with a diagram of said positions and was way cool. I wanted the camera so I could build my own. We left from there and learned we were running late. We decided to try Ground Zero anyway because it was 9-11. We arrived there in time to catch the police and biker parade. They rolled by slowly and we wandered the site, reading the names of victims and bawling like babies. Neither Dan or I knew anyone personally in the attack, but if you did, we cried and prayed for you several times thoroughout the day. Neither of us expected it to be so moving, but it really is a powerful place and we hope the city of New York has enough respect for the dead to honor them by leaving the site as is, and not moving the bodies to a landfill (we saw a petition against this same proposal that I couldn't believe the lack of political tact!). From there, we overpaid another taxi to run us back to the hotel. I dressed and prepped very quickly to learn that our coworkers were running late. They eventually caught up with us and we had some drinks and began to work. This is when I learned that the purpose of the film had changed. I was okay with it, and the certs checked out, so it wasn't a big deal. We shot two scenes, one ending in a facial and the other in an asscum. I did my hot cute bit about how great big black dicks were and acted really into it, though neither knew their camera angles, were any good at direction, or very gentle on the fucking. Long story short, I got worn out. I was picked on a little, though I honestly could do four scenes if I got some rest between scenes, but I was paid well and that's what matters. Dan fucked me good and hard, throwing some breath control in there for the fun of it, later that evening and now I'm pretty much fucked out for the week. I had a good time though. We found some smoke and nearly hooked up with a Latina porn store girl later that evening in Times Square, but other than that we spent the night in. Dan wasn't feeling so good because he threw out his back and got a little drunk on the gin they brought us, so we headed back instead of going all the way out to the village. The morning flight home was cool, but I passed out and slept for 12 hours when I got home. As for this week, I made enough to take a few weeks off so I won't be pushing my pussy. I'll just rest, paint, write my column, and play Playstation. Speaking of which, I am getting some modeling offers thanks to the column. Maybe something will pan out. Daphne |
